Third CCIIF After-Work on May 13th

It was a pleasure to host the third CCIIF After-Work event at the Institut Français of Tel Aviv on May 13th. This session was a success and provided a new valuable opportunity for CCIIF members to meet, exchange, and strengthen connections within our community. The evening allowed participants to better understand each other’s activities and explore potential collaborations. We had the privilege of hearing Anat Tsour Segal. Anat is a venture capital investor and company builder with over two decades of experience working with early-stage technology companies in Israel. She is Founder, Board Member and former CEO of Xenia Venture Capital, former CEO of Capital Nature, and currently Advisor to the London-based family office Consensus Business Group. Last, Anat is also a lecturer at the Adelson School of Entrepreneurship at Reichman University, mentoring entrepreneurs through various accelerators and entrepreneurial organizations.

Cciif afterwork July 15th 2026

Our fourth Afterwork will take place @Institut francais rooftop on Wednesday, July 15th at 18:30.

Please note that due to a bereavement in her family Stephanie Molkhou will not be able to be the main speaker at July 15th Afterwork, and that Gerard Pomper who was scheduled for a later session has kindly agreed to replace her.
A CCIIF Board Member, Gerard is probably the most longer-serving member of our Chamber and its living memory. He is also President of Israel Union of French People Abroad and will be able to tell us about their activities.

CCIIF 2026 General Assembly

CCIIF 2026 General Assembly took place on July 6th at the headquarters of Manufacturers Association of Israel  in Tlv, where we had the privilege to hear our host Avraham Novogrocki, recently elected as the new President of M.A.I.

Avraham holds an MBA from Bar-Ilan University and combines a technological background with 4 years of service in the Israeli Air Force, working on the fire-control systems of F-15 aircraft. He began his career in 1983 at Scitex, and became CFO of Scitex Israel. In 1996 he joined Packer Steel and was later appointed its CEO, in 2008 Africa Israel Industries as CEO, and served as CEO of Africa Israel Investments & Properties. Since 2018, he has served as active Chairman of Had Asaf Industries, as external director at Dan Amad Real Estate and Dan Equity, and later as Chairman of Kal-Kar Ein Carmel, being also a private investor alongside his business activity.

Novogrocki is since 2022 the Chairman of the Metal, Electricity and Infrastructure Association within M.A.I. and a member of itsPresidium. In the public sphere, he is a member of the Board of Trustees of Hadassah Medical Center Jerusalem, Laniado Hospital, and Ariel University.

We closed our sesson with the intervention of Stephane Goldin, Stephane is a Reserve Lieutenant Colonel and former commander of an elite IDF unit. A Strategic advisor for various Israeli institutions and organizations, a Security and Defense Analyst in various media, Stephane is recognized as a brilliant analyst of Israel’s environment.He is also the Delegate of Keren Hayessod for Luxembourg and Belgium.

Discovering Vivatech with CCIIF on April 25th

Vivatech, Europe’s biggest startup and tech event – with over 180,000 attendees, 4,000 exhibitors and 14,000 startups – will be held in Paris between June 16-20, 2026.
 
In preparation of this event, around 60 startups gathered to prepare for their participation.
 
This year, The Israel-France Chamber of Commerce is proud to support the delegation of Israeli companies who will be attending Vivatech. Yossi Dan, a CCIIF Board Member, is organizing the Israeli delegation. Applications for startups to participate in the delegation are now open (until May 11th).

Visit of Ben Gurion University & BGN Advanced Technology HQ

This initiative highlights the importance of academic partnerships in a complex geopolitical context.  The CCIIF Board delegation visited Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and BGN Technologies, discovering key innovation assets such as the Yazamut 360° Entrepreneurship Center and its incubator model.
Discussions focused on innovation, research, and bilateral academic cooperation.Particular attention was given to strengthening France–Israel exchanges.
 

The visit is seen as a strong foundation for future partnerships between BGU/BGN and CCIIF.

Short-term opportunities include connecting BGU startups to Viva Technology, a major European innovation event where Israeli startups are regularly showcased.
Additional collaboration avenues include the “Living Avenues – Tel Aviv Hub” Smart Cities initiative led by French corporates.
BGU/BGN could also benefit from the “Abraham in Tech” initiative, supporting international R&D partnerships and access to Horizon Europe and MENA funding.
Regional cooperation opportunities were highlighted, notably through the Beersheva–Lyon partnership and links with the France-Israel Auvergne RhÃīne-Alpes network.
A follow-up visit is planned to meet BGU leadership, including President Daniel Chamovitz and other key stakeholders.
